   Great GIMP tutorial! The addition of the screen shot “focus” helps tremendously. I am a day two gimp user and have spent a little time scouring the net for useful GIMP tutorials. I have to say your lessons are the clearest; I look forward to additional PodCasts!

   In response to an email asking what software I used for the screen cast.

   I was using CamStudio http://camstudio.org/, but I had problems with compression rates and the video and audio settings were not user friendly at all.

   So for now I am using a free trial of Camtasia Studio, http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp, and looking to a cheaper alternative hopefully before the 30 day trial period expires.

   I think that the next product I’ll experiment with will be Jing http://www.jingproject.com/
